Ali Trianfo joined Government Strategies Group in July 2018. Prior to joining GSG, she served as the Director of Community Affairs for Cincinnati City Councilmember Greg Landsman. While in Landsman’s office, Ali oversaw constituent services, coordinating with City departments, and helping neighborhood councils in all 52 neighborhoods to solve residents’ issues with the City. She built grassroots relationships within communities by regularly attending Community Council meetings and holding community-input meetings weekly in each neighborhood.
Before working in Cincinnati City Hall, she managed Landsman’s successful campaign during the 2017 election cycle. Ali has worked in different capacities on several campaigns since 2014. She now serves as the Secretary for the Hamilton County Young Democrats (HCYD), working on fundraising, candidate events, and expanding the young professional base of the Hamilton County Democratic Party.
Ali spent the summer of 2016 in Medellin, Colombia translating and grant writing for small gender-based violence organizations, including writing grant accepted by the U.S. Embassy in Bogota to fund a women’s empowerment and financial literacy program for female survivors of sex trafficking during the cartel years. She has full professional proficiency in Spanish.
Ali is a graduate of Xavier University in the Philosophy, Politics, and the Public Honors Program and holds a Bachelors’ degree in International Studies and Spanish. In addition to the HCYD board, she is an ambassador for Appointed with The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and an active volunteer with Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio and Women Helping Women.
